MRSA Experts Move In To Stem Superbug

...Going into hospital is traumatic enough without patients facing the fear of catching this superbug.

"It's time to get back to basics and bring in more cleaners to make sure hospital wards and departments are kept clean and infection free.

We need cleaning staff to be part of the infection control team and give them the tools to do the job under the direct control of ward staff....

....MRSA can cause abscesses, boils, and it can infect wounds ( accidental wounds such as grazes and deliberate wounds such as those made for a drip or during surgery.

These are called local infections.
It may then spread to the blood and cause septicaemia or blood poisoning
